4c Reflection

1. Who is your classmate, what is the component category, what is the name of the choice?
Katy, component Beaches, Santa Cruz Beach

2. What is something similar this classmate said about the choice?
Katy and I both focused on the tourism of the town and that it has a boardwalk or plaza that attracts people from everywhere. We both agreed and focuses on Beaches in California.

3. What is something different this classmate said about the choice?
Katy and I have differing opinions on Santa Cruz. Katy focused on the nature, sanctuary, and wildlife of the beaches and what to see when you are there. I focused more on the family event and the activities and shops to see. I also talked about the dog friendly beach in Capitola.

4. How would you relate this to Freire's ideas regarding dialogue? For example, you went in thinking one idea, your classmate had a different idea. What new idea emerged from this process?

For example, the Beaches component, that Katy and Michelle posted where focused on Santa Cruz Beaches. Katy posted that "Santa Cruz Beach is not only a board walk or the college town, it is the wild life all a part of the Monterrey Bay Sanctuary." Michelle posted that "Santa Cruz is very well known for it's college UCSC and is known as a party town." Both of these things I didn't know of include in my blog. Both Katy and Michelle struck interest in me to do more research and gain more knowledge of these beautiful beaches. How does this relate to Freire's ideas regarding dialogue...The new idea that merged from this process of reading my other classmates blogs, is it made me what to know more, ask questions and do more research..
